Scope: American Moving and Installation prepped, tagged, and took inventory of items that were sent via trailer. American externally relocated large and heavy office items and delivered a collection of items to a long hauler for out of state delivery.

Challenges: This job required a high level of critical attention to detail. American successfully followed and completed specific procedures with accuracy and precision. Clear communication and logistical management were maintained throughout the long-haul delivery.

State Agencies

10/03/2023 – Plymouth County District Attorney

Scope: American Moving and Installation relocated the District Attorney’s office from Brockton to Plymouth.

Challenge: The project required a full stair carry out of a Victorian building into another stair carry building.

11/27/23 – DCAMM

Scope: American Moving and Installation performed a rush request to relocate approx. 175 chairs from origin to destination.

Challenge: Last-minute scheduling of the project.

12/06/23 – EOE & DHE DEPARTMENTS

Scope: American Moving and Installation performed an internal and external relocation of items from two departments into a new building.

Challenge: On-site coordination of two departments relocating simultaneously from and into the same building.

5/2023 to Present – Massachusetts Department of Transportation (DOT)

Scope: American Moving and Installation worked with the DOT for 45+ days prepping file boxes for relocation, assisted with various Registry of Motor Vehicle internal & external relocations, provided warehouse storage, and removed racking at various locations. MA DOT is an ongoing partner of American Moving.

Challenges: Small working spaces made efficiency difficult; however, American rose to the occasion, working quickly and efficiently. Mass DOT provided trailers, but additional trailers were needed. American secured and delivered the additional trailers needed to complete the project.

Commercial

2019 to Present - Encore Boston Harbor

Scope: American Moving and Installation warehoused, delivered, and provided FF&E services for 1.7 million square feet of new luxury hotel and casino space. American worked closely with Encore’s Director of Planning to facilitate the new furniture locations into all areas of the resort including, but not limited to 27 floors, 671 hotel rooms, gaming areas, spa and fitness center, retail spaces and 13 gourmet and casual restaurants. American maintains status as a go-to subcontractor for Encore.

Challenges: Included furniture delays, constant changes of scope, assembly of unique items, and moving a statue worth over $1,000,000.

2022 to Present - Bose Corporation

Scope: American Moving and Installation relocated 316 staff offices consisting of 500 totes worth of content from multiple locations to Bose new headquarters/campus. The project included the disconnecting and reconnecting of over 360 monitors. The overall project was completed in a strict (3) phase schedule to meet the client’s deadline.

Challenges: Coordination of several large locations into one location while maintaining organizational excellence.

2019 to Present - Large Educational Institution – Non-Disclosure Agreements Signed (NDA)

Scope: American Moving and Installation has worked with large educational facilities and institutions repeatedly over the past years. American completed a (10) phase relocation for a large greater Boston area higher learning institution in 2019. Again in 2023, American successfully relocated the furnishings and contents of various on campus buildings as well as conduct a large decommission. American continues to maintain approved vendor status with this institution to date.

Challenges: Adaptability was key. Constantly changing plans and directives, on-going requests on the fly, required a need for dynamic and flexible service. American was able to accommodate the high level of uncertain ebbs and flows of this project due to the laser focus of the project team.

Q1 2024 - Large Financial Firm 1 – Non-Disclosure Agreements Signed (NDA)

Scope: American Moving and Installation completed a large financial firm relocation. The project required 4 phases and consisted of 1200 employees. American supplied 5000+ crates and a high volume of packing materials in a staggered delivery plan. Twelve hundred placards were created and hung at origin and destination along with custom pre-printed labels for all employees. Weekly move meetings were held to ensure alignment. American also completed file purging and packing/unpacking services and artwork installation. Post-move support was also provided to ensure a smooth transition to the new space and to assist with any last-minute questions or requests.

Challenges: With any large relocation, the sheer volume of items to be moved poses a challenge. The weekly meetings and assigned project management staff allowed American to ensure that all components were handled effortlessly and effectively. All additional add-ons and last-minute requests could also be easily accommodated on the client’s behalf.

2019 to Present 2024 - Large Financial Firm 2 – Non-Disclosure Agreements Signed (NDA)

Challenges: A filing system was implemented to ensure organized and accurate movement of a high volume of banker files. Additionally, the contract was won right before the pandemic occurred. The pandemic created unprecedented and unique challenges due to shutdowns, uncertainty, and business delays. Plans needed flexibility and close attention to safety, which were executed flawlessly.

Scope: American Moving performed extensive project planning, move coordination, vendor management and pre-move site walkthroughs to ensure a successful and efficient move.
